The Papaver skirt is a beautiful, stylish skirt with a form-fitting design, knitted from top to bottom, featuring several design elements that give it a feminine and structured fit. The skirt can be styled with anything from a cozy sweater to a fitted shirt, making it suitable for both everyday wear and more formal occasions.

This pattern is designed with little to no ease, giving it a beautiful and close-fitting silhouette. The pattern guides you through how to adjust the fit around the hips so that it sits beautifully and embraces the female form.

The skirt is knitted from top to bottom in a rib pattern, creating an illusion along the legs to give a slimmer, more structured silhouette. A slit is formed at the bottom.

• Increases to the right and left in knit and purl
• Decreases to the right and left
• Optional Italian bind-off

You should choose the size based on your waist measurement to achieve the best fit for the skirt. The width can be adjusted around the belly/hips/bottom during knitting.

37 sts x 32 rows recommended on 3.5 mm needles in double rib (2 k, 2 p) = 10 x 10 cm before washing!
26 sts x 32 rows recommended on 3.5 mm needles in double rib (2 k, 2 p) = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking.

Alva from Filcolana (175m/25g):

Pernilla from Filcolana (175m/50g):

Accessories:
Waistband elastic, minimum 25 mm wide, approx. 69 (78) 87 (97) 106 [(115) 124 (133) 143] cm long.
Double-pointed needles 2.75 mm. Alternatively, double-pointed needles 2.5 mm.
Circular needle 3 mm, length 80-120 cm depending on size.
Circular needle 3.5 mm, length 80-100 cm depending on size.
